Rules & Guidelines

The 2022-23 Rules & Guidelines are listed below. Team applications that failed to meet the eligibility requirements were not be considered for participation.

APPLICATIONS

The deadline has passed for submitting 2022 Bowl applications.

  • Detailed competition information is located in our Rules & Guidelines. Please read the document provided at the top of this About the Bowl page.

  • Your team must have the following:

    • Maximum of 7 or minimum of 4 students per team.

    • All team members must be from the same institution or partner institution.

    • A faculty advisor (you are permitted to have more than one faculty advisor, but must list one as primary.) This advisor is in addition to the 7-4 student team members.

    • Each team must include a member with healthcare/medical or other clinical expertise. This typically involves a medical student, medical resident, pharmacy trainee, or public/global health policy student.

    • External participants are not permitted on the team roster.

    • Team roster - to include names and email addresses. Please note the Team Lead, medical student/clinical trainee, and the Primary Faculty Advisor.

    • Team bios - each team member is encouraged to have a short bio. These will be displayed on your Team page on this website.

    • Project Summary - be as detailed as possible! Your project summary will be the focus of scoring by the multi-institution committee.

  • If your team application has been selected to participate, your full team is required to attend the mandatory events.

    • Semifinals - October 21, 2022

    • Mentor sessions - these will be determined by your team and industry mentor (November 2022 through April 2023).

    • Finals - May 5, 2023
